Due to changes in federal legislation, students who meet the following criteria are now eligible to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) through the end of the national emergency:
- enrolled at least half-time in college, and
- in the current academic year, have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of 0 as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or
- offered Federal Work-Study on financial aid offer
- you may need to show proof of employment during the SNAP application process
