Eligibility Requirements

• International students are eligible for University of Iowa on-campus employment only. They are not eligible to be employed off campus.
• International students must have the proper J-1 or F-1 visa.

Hours Limitations

During the academic year, international students may work a combined maximum of 20 hours per week in all types of employment (part-time hourly and salaried graduate assistantships) and 40 hours per week during the summer.
